Georges Schorderet was appointed Chief Executive Officer in Feb 2015. He joined Almarai in 2004 as Chief Financial Officer and in September 2011 became its Chief Operating Officer. Before that, Mr. Schorderet was an independent consultant in Switzerland. Throughout his career, he held various senior executive positions such as Chief Financial Officer of Swissair Group and Chief Financial Officer of the Alusuisse-Lonza Group. He is a Certified Accountant and holds an MBA from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), Lausanne, Switzerland.
Abdullah Abdulkarim was appointed Assistant to Almarai’s CEO in January 2009. Mr.Abdulkarim joined Almarai in 1985 and, prior to this was Almarai’s General Manager of Administration since 2005. During his tenure he assumed effective roles in supporting different Almarai divisions and subsidiaries. Mr. Abdulkarim completed his major in Public Administration at California State University, Sacramento (USA), and has extensive experience in Administration and Human Resources, accumulated across both the public and private sectors in Saudi Arabia as well as overseas, backed up with advanced management courses, seminars, symposiums, and conferences held locally and abroad.
Abdullah Al Bader has joined Almarai in 2000, and was appointed as general manager of Bakery in August 2015.
He held a number of positions in the company most recently as Head of Human Recourses prior to his current role as General Manager – Support Services. He has worked for business sectors; in manufacturing & distribution, sales, marketing, and corporate. Al Bader holds an MBA from Leicester University – UK.
Andrew Mackie joined Almarai Company in 1977 after graduating from the West of Scotland Agricultural College in the United Kingdom. He has been General Manager of Farming since 1998, having previously served as Regional Manager of Farming for several years.
Mr. Alfahadi joined Almarai in 2009 as Head of Administration and was appointed as General Manager of Human Resources and Support Services effective from August 2015 .
Prior to joining Almarai, he worked for more than 15 years in major private sector companies where he accumulated experience in the field of Human Resources and Administration. He serves also as a member of the Saudi Committee for the labor market at Council of Saudi Chambers.
He holds an Executive Leadership Program from Harvard University, USA and a Masters in Business Administration from UK.
Jack Castelein joined Almarai Company in April 2015 to serve as Chief Operations Officer. Mr. Castelein worked for more than 23 years at Royal Friesland Campina where he held various senior leadership positions in Middle East, Asia and Europe. His background is in Sales Marketing and Operations.
He has extensive experience in the international Retail and Foodservice environment. Mr. Castelein holds a degree in Management and Economics and received a Post University diploma in Marketing in 1991 in the Netherlands.
Mr. Abdulqader joined Almarai Company in 2003. He served as Marketing Services Manager, Marketing Manager and then General Manager of Marketing.
Prior to joining Almarai Company, he was the Head of Retail Measurement Services at Nielsen for the GCC.
Mr. Abdulqader holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administrations from the Amman Private University in Jordan.
Larus Asgeirsson is the Poultry Division General Manager at Almarai. Mr.Asgeirsson joined Almarai in the summer of 2013. Prior to joining Almarai, he worked at Icelandic Group as Chief Executive Officer, where he was able to develop the Group’s new strategy with focus on value added activities for the seafood industry. Previously, he was in charge of sales at Marel Food Systems, a major equipment supplier for the poultry industry. Mr. Asgeirsson holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University (USA).
Majed Nofal worked for Ernst & Young in Riyadh for nine years & Western Bakeries Co. (Lusine) in Jeddah for seven years prior to joining Almarai Company in 2010 . Nofal holds a BA in Business Administration from King Saud University.
Malcolm Jordan joined Almarai Company in 1992. In the recent past, he served as General Manager – Quality and Product Development for 4 years then General Manager of Marketing for 3 years before taking up his current position within IPNC. Prior to joining Almarai Company in 1992, he was employed as a Technical Sales Manager for Chr. Hansen in the United Kingdom. He graduated in Food Science and Technology from the West of Scotland Agricultural College in Scotland.
Mark joined Almarai in 2006, initially serving as Regional General Manager in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and later in the Gulf, being based in Kuwait; he was promoted to his current position in February 2014. Prior to joining Almarai, Mark held senior executive roles with international dairy companies such as Campina, Parmalat and Nestle in Asia and Australia.
Prior to joining Almarai, Omar worked for twelve years at Mars Inc. as a Director of Marketing across Africa, India and the Middle East where he developed the chocolate category across the region into a leading food category and increased the Galaxy, Snickers, M&M’s, Twix brands’ market share to be among the highest across the world. Omar holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the Oklahoma State University (USA).
Paul – Louis Gay Chief Financial Officer Paul Gay was appointed as Almarai’s CFO in September 2011. He holds an executive MBA from ESCP Europe (1980), a French Public Accountant Certificate, with Tax specialization (1982) and the INSEAD Corporate Finance Diploma (2003). Prior to joining Almarai he was the CFO of Firmenich, the global leading Fragrances &Flavors house. Before that, he held senior finance and management positions at Givaudan, the Roche Group, Computerland Europe, ICL, National Semiconductor and IBM in China, Japan, USA and Europe.
Richard Salisbury was appointed General Manager Quality and Product Development in August 2014, prior to which he was the Almarai Head of Product Development and Innovation
Mr. Salisbury first joined Almarai Company in 1994 and held positions in Product Development and Quality, during this period he was responsible for delivering a range of added value Dairy projects.
Prior to joining Almarai Company in 2012, Mr. Salisbury worked at Britvic Soft Drinks and St Ivel in the United Kingdom, holding various positions in Product Development, Packaging Development and Project Management over 20 years, leading to Dairy and Soft Drinks launches in the United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States.
Mr. Salisbury graduated in Food Science and Technology from Seale-Hayne Agricultural College in the United Kingdom.
Sjur Fitje joined Almarai in May 2015 to serve as General Manager for Operations. Prior to joining Almarai, he worked for two years at Kavli Group as a Senior Operations Director where he was responsible for leading a strategic and hands-on turn-around program for a fresh dairy products operation. He also served as the VP of Corporate Supply Chain Development at Arla Foods. He graduated in 1996 from the Norwegian School of Business.
