Georges Schorderet was appointed Chief Executive Officer in Feb 2015. He Joined Almarai Company in 2004 as a Chief Financial Officer and in September 2011 became its Chief Operating Officer. Before that, Mr. Schorderet was as an independent consultant in Switzerland. Through his career, he held many senior executive positions such as the Chief Financial Officer of Swissair Group and Chief Financial Officer of the Alusuisse-Lonza Group. He is a Certified Accountant and holds an MBA from International Management Development (IMD), Lausanne, Switzerland.
Abdullah Abdulkarim was appointed Assistant to Almarai CEO in January 2009. Prior he was Almarai General Manager of Administration since 2005. Abdulkarim has joined Almarai in 1985 and held the role of Almarai Administration Manager. During his leadership tenure he played effective roles in supporting Almarai different Divisions and Subsidiary Companies. Abdulkarim completed his major in Public Administration ( USA ), and has an expanse of administration and H.R accumulated experience across both public and private sectors in Saudi Arabia and overseas backed up with extensive advanced management courses, seminars, symposiums, and conferences held locally and abroad.
Abdullah Al Bader has joined Almarai in 2000, and was appointed as general manager of Bakery in August 2015.
He held a number of positions in the company most recently as Head of Human Recourses prior to his current role as General Manager – Support Services. He has worked for business sectors; in manufacturing & distribution, sales, marketing, and corporate. Al Bader holds an MBA from Leicester University – UK.
Mr. Alfahadi joined Almarai in 2009 as Head of Administration and was appointed as General Manager of Human Resources and Support Services effective from August 2015 .
Prior to joining Almarai, he worked for more than 15 years in major private sector companies where he accumulated experience in the field of Human Resources and Administration. He serves also as a member of the Saudi Committee for the labor market at Council of Saudi Chambers.
He holds an Executive Leadership Program from Harvard University, USA and a Masters in Business Administration from UK.
Jack Castelein joined Almarai Company on May 2015 to serve as Chief operations officer. Mr. Castelein spent more than 23 years at Royal Friesland Campina where he held a number of positions in operations-related services. Most recently he was Managing Director Foodservice for 2 years where he was responsible for setting up a new operating company Foodservice. Castelein received diploma degree in marketing from Post University in 1991 and a diploma degree management & economics in 1983.
Paul – Louis Gay Chief Financial Officer Paul Gay was appointed as Almarai’s CFO in September 2011. He holds an executive MBA from ESCP Europe (1980), a French Public Accountant Certificate, with Tax specialization (1982) and the INSEAD Corporate Finance Diploma (2003). Prior to joining Almarai he was the CFO of Firmenich, the global leading Fragrances &Flavors house. Before that, he held senior finance and management positions at Givaudan, the Roche Group, Computerland Europe, ICL, National Semiconductor and IBM in China, Japan, USA and Europe.
Andrew Mackie joined Almarai Company in 1977 after graduating from the West of Scotland Agricultural College in the United Kingdom. He has been General Manager of Farming since 1998, having previously served as Regional Manager of Farming for several years.
Larus Asgeirsson is the Poultry Division General Manager at Almarai Company. Mr. Asgeirsson joined Almarai Company in the summer of 2013, and prior to joining Almarai, he worked at Icelandic Group as Chief Executive Officer, where he was able to develop the Group’s new strategy with focus on value added activities within the seafood industry. Previously, he served as a major supplier of equipment for poultry industry at Marel Food Systems.
Mr. Asgeirsson holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma State University in the United States of America.
Sjur Fitje joined Almarai Company in May 2015 to serve as General Manager Operations.
Prior to joining Almarai Company Mr. Fitje served as VP of Corporate Supply Chain Development at Arla Foods Group. He also had the role as SVP Supply Chain with Arla Foods Consumer Nordic. Mr. Fitje has several years of operations experience from the dairy companies Tine, Arla and Kavli Group.
Mr. Fitje holds a M. Sc. in Dairy Technology from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences combined with a Master of Management Program in Logistics from Norwegian Business School.
Majed Nofal worked for Ernst & Young in Riyadh for nine years & Western Bakeries Co. (Lusine) in Jeddah for seven years prior to joining Almarai Company in 2010 . Nofal holds a BA in Business Administration from King Saud University.
Mark joined Almarai in 2006, initially serving as Regional General Manager in KSA & later in the Gulf, being based in Kuwait; he was promoted to his current position on February 2014.
Prior to joining Almarai, Mark held senior executive roles with international dairy companies; Campina, Parmalat and Nestle in Asia and Australia.
Prior to joining Almarai Company, Omar worked at Mars Inc as a Director of Marketing across Africa, India and the Middle East for 12 years where he developed the chocolate category across the region to become a lead food category for consumers and customers and their brands (Galaxy, Snickers, M&M’s, Twix …etc) market share to be among the highest across the world.
Omar holds a Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in the USA.
Richard Salisbury was appointed General Manager Quality and Product Development in August 2014, prior to which he was the Almarai Head of Product Development and Innovation
Mr. Salisbury first joined Almarai Company in 1994 and held positions in Product Development and Quality, during this period he was responsible for delivering a range of added value Dairy projects.
Prior to joining Almarai Company in 2012, Mr. Salisbury worked at Britvic Soft Drinks and St Ivel in the United Kingdom, holding various positions in Product Development, Packaging Development and Project Management over 20 years, leading to Dairy and Soft Drinks launches in the United Kingdom, Ireland and the United States.
Mr. Salisbury graduated in Food Science and Technology from Seale-Hayne Agricultural College in the United Kingdom.
