When it comes to charitable activities, our emphasis is on supporting organizations involved in human and social initiatives. We are also actively involved with a range of philanthropic, social and cultural societies dedicated to our region’s development.

Supporting the Prisoners’ Care Society

saudi_national_prison_care_and_familiesIn line with our social investment strategy, Almarai supports a charity dedicated to assisting prisoners’ families and helping prisoners to reintegrate into society following their release. To support this work, we have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Saudi National Prison Care Committee and their families. Under the MoU, we supply the committee with Almarai products for sponsored families. In addition, we support training and development efforts for prisoners and their families by accepting them at our Diary and Food Polytechnic in Alkharj, where they can benefit from our direct employment programs.

Helping orphans perform Haj

association_for_orphans_ensan1In coordination with Ensan, the Riyadh orphans’ care charitable society, Almarai paid for a large number of orphans who wanted to perform Hajj in 1430 Hejri/insert Western date. Managing Director Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al Muhanna noted that this humanitarian move was part of our approach to serving a society that Almarai is such an intrinsic part of. Taking care of orphans is evidence that Saudi society is solid and united in accordance with Islam, he added. Saleh Al-Yousef, Ensan’s General Manager, thanked Prince Sultan bin Mohammed, our Board Chairman, and Almarai for its noble role in helping the orphans perform Hajj.

Supporting the Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Society

Almarai supports the Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Society (IFTA) to achieve its important social welfare goals. Established in 2008, IFTA is a non-profit society comprising a group of specialists including physicians, nurses, social, psychic and educational specialists, along with the families of disabled people and other concerned parties.

Supporting the Charitable Health Society for Patient Care

We are particularly keen to support charitable health societies and community health services. Among other good causes, we provide financial support to the Charitable Health Society for Patient Care (ENAYAH) as part of our efforts to improve patients’ well-being. Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al-Rabiah, the Minister of Health, has honored Almarai for our work in this vital area.
