Almarai on Forbes 2013 List of the 50 Strongest Arab Companies
Almarai was selected for the Forbes Top 500 Companies in the Arab World in 2013 and the company was in the top 50 on the list. Asst.CEO Abdullah Abdulkareem received the award plaque at a ceremony held in the Emirati capital of Abu Dhabi attended by representatives of recipient companies.
The Forbes list is based on an analytical study of the top 500 companies listed on the markets of 10 Arab countries. Listed companies achieved revenues of $331.58 billion resulting in net profits of $63.01 billion. Their base of hard assets was $2,211.05 billion, and their total market value reached $749.2 billion at the end of 2012.
Almarai is the largest vertically-integrated dairy company in the world and the largest producer and distributor of food and drink in the region, occupying first place within the consumer good brand classification for the Middle East and North Africa Region in addition to its products being leading products throughout the markets of the Gulf Cooperation Council.
