Facebook Verifies Almarai’s Official Page
The social networking site Facebook has given Almarai’s official site a check mark to become one of the first companies in the region to have a verified page on the world’s leading social networking site. The site recently announced the start of verification of pages’ identities only for those pages with more than one million likes.
The page will be granted a blue verified check mark which will appear next to the name both on the page as well as in search results to help the user identify trustworthy pages.
Almarai’s page is one of the leading pages on Facebook in number of likes in Saudi Arabia, with more than 3 million likes as of 2013.
Almarai, which launched its Facebook page in October 2011 with the “Welcome to Almarai’s Official Page” campaign, has been able to achieve a wide diffusion in the most famous social network in just a year, which has made social network site experts expect that Almarai will soon become the number one fastest growing page in the Middle East with on average 200,000 likes monthly.
In the context of its efforts to strengthen its communication with its consumers in all channels, Almarai recently launched its official page on the social networking site Twitter to provide fertile ground for positive interaction and for them to express their views and trade ideas on Almarai products via opinion surveys, responding to questions and comments, and wide participation in Almarai news and activities in all fields.
