The Saudi Almarai Company has won the Award for Best Company in Investor Relations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the fifth annual conference held by the Middle East Investor Relations Society at the Ritz Carlton Hotel at the Dubai International Financial Center.
The conference gives annual awards to companies which adopt the highest professional standards for investor relations, and representatives from a number of listed, non-listed, and family companies participated in the voting in addition to investors, analysts, consultants, and a number of representatives of issuers and buyers of stock, Middle Eastern, United States, and European security regulatory bodies via an independent poll performed by Thomson Reuters Extel.
Almarai also received the awards for Best Investor Relations Team in Crisis Communication and Best Performance of a Financial Director in Investor Relations. The official site gave the company third place in investor relations.
These awards reinforce Almarai’s steps and underline its successes in investor relations developing tools for communication with investors and strengthening its relationship with them, which in turn result from the transparency that the company displays.
Last year in their fourth cycle, Almarai received three awards from the Middle East Investor Relations Society, which were: Award for Best Financial Director of Investor Relations in the Middle East, Award for Best Company for Investor Relations in Saudi Arabia, and the Grand Prize for the Best Company in the Middle East for Investor Relations.
Since it was first conducted in 2008, the Extel Middle East Poll has found better performance of companies in the region in the area of investor relations as the Middle East Investor Relations Society seeks to define and spread best practices in the region.
