Almarai & National Geographic annual competition, Cities in heart
Almarai Company and National Geographic Abu Dhabi launched their annual photography competition in its second edition. This year’s competition theme is “Arab Cities: The City through Your Eyes”: Photographs that are eye-opener to the beauty of cities in the heart. It will include various photographs narrating the passion and preference of photographers of Arab and international cities they loved and decided to convey its details and secrets through their lenses.
This competition will take sides with young talents in the Arab region, and act upon focusing on their creativity.
Entries will be judged and winning photographs will be selected by a committee of experts, primarily Alsaad Omar Almenhali, Editor-in-Chief of National Geographic Abu Dhabi Al Arabia; Hussam Abdulqader, Head of Communications and PR, Almarai Company; and randy Olson, Award-winning Photographer specializing in editorial, commercial and advertising photography.
Competition period extends from April 4th through May 13th 2015. Participants may post entries to: www.natgeotv.ae/moments
The winner’s prize will a paid 11-day safari expedition to Tanzania, the photograph will be featured in National Geographic Abu Dhabi Arabiya Magazine, in addition to a photography hamper to the value of US$ 7,500.
Second and third place winners will receive photography hampers to the value of US$ 5,000 and US$ 2,500 respectively.
