Almarai and Arab Education honor GCC best achieving students
Under Almarai Company finance and sponsorship, GCC Arab Bureau of Education in collaboration and coordination with the Bahraini Ministry of Education, under generous patronage of Dr. Majed bin Ali Al-Nuaimi, the Minister of Education, organized GCC Arab Bureau of Education Award for Outstanding Academic Performance for the General Education Students in the Member, States in its ninth edition, on Tuesday Rajab 16th, 1436H corresponding to May 5th, 2015, in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain. The Bureau organizes this ceremony annually in a Member State alternately. The first edition was celebrated in Manama, Bahrain. The second session was held in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The third was in Kuwait. The fourth was in Doha, Qatar. The fifth was in Muscat, Oman. The sixth was in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The seventh was in UAE. The eighth was in Kuwait.
Almarai normally finance the award annually based on its firmly established conviction of the importance of private sector contribution to educational institutions in the service of the community. In addition to Almarai’s funding of other annual awards to promote investment in applied professions and scientific research, Almarai also contributes to other annual social and sport activities, confirming its role in serving the society issues at the local and regional levels.
Activities of awarding the prize included honoring forty-two male and female high achievers in the various stages of general education in the Member States by giving them certificates, shields, and monetary rewards, in addition to other educational programs. These programs urge the students to exert more effort to continue outstanding achievement and creativity, and encourage other general education students to follow their example.
The ceremony included entertainment episode played by the students of Ministry schools in the Kingdom of Bahrain on Al Dana Theatre, Khaleej Hotel.
