Forbes honors Almarai among top companies in Arab world
Almarai Company was selected in the Forbes Middle East top companies list in the Arab world 2014. Mr. Abdullah Al Abdulkarim, Almarai’s Assistant Chief Executive Officer, received the honor shield at a ceremony held on this occasion in Dubai, in the presence of a galaxy of top executives in major Arab companies. Forbes magazine is famous for counting fortunes, monitoring growth and development of financial institutions and companies. In addition the biweekly generates its annual ranking of top Arab companies This ranking is based on analytical studies of the companies’ financial statements, following annual reports, and the criteria of revenues, net profit, gross asset value, and market value, staff number, international presence and subsidiaries number. It is worth mentioning that Almarai is the largest vertically integrated dairy company in the world. It is transformed from specialized dairy to integrated food company after acquisition of several companies in bakeries and poultry sectors, in addition to its recent investment in the sector infant milk formulae and nutrition. Almarai products are distributed in GCC markets and some Arab States. In 2014, Almarai net profit touched SR 1.6 bn.
