Winners’ declaration of Almarai Veterinarian Award

The Board of trustees of Almarai Veterinarian Award declared names of the four winners of the award in its seventh edition and its three branches. The declaration took place in a ceremony hosted by King Faisal University, Al-Ahsaa,

The GCC Veterinarian Award branch was won equally by Veterinarian Khalid bin Obaid Salem Al-Khaldi, from Sultanate of Oman, and Veterinarian Azzam bin Mahmoud Al-Wazayifi, from UAE.

The Award of the Outstanding Veterinary Researcher branch went to Dr. Wael Mohammad Abdulmakarem Al-Deeb, Assistant Professor of Veterinary and Therapy, King Faisal University.

Veterinarian Ali Hussein Ali AL-Jassem, Poultry and Birds Health and Pathology, Animal Resources Department, Saudi Ministry of Agriculture won the Award of Saudi Veterinarian branch.

Abdullah Nasser Al-Otaibi, Almarai’s Public Relations Manager, maintained that Almarai Veterinarian Award is an expression of Almarai’s interest in science and scientists, and continuity of the Company’s role in community service. It is fruit of our leadership’s care for the private sector, and expanding its role in comprehensive development. Our wise leadership believes in complementary role of the public and private sector in building a homeland in which all its citizens take pride.

It is worth mentioning that Almarai Veterinarian Award was launched in 2010 to honor veterinarians, and to stress the vital role of this profession in protecting public health in Saudi Arabia and the region. The Saudi Veterinarian Society, in King Faisal University, Al-Ihsaa, manages this Award.
