Almarai signs agreement of Tomorrow’s Leaders Program
Within its continuous strive to attract, train and qualify Saudi youth, Almarai Company signed an agreement with “Talent Enterprise” which is a firm specialized in providing consultancies in training and development in order to design and implement Tomorrow’s Leaders Program, which Almarai intend to launch it this year.
Faisal Marzouq Al-Fahadi, Almarai’s General Manager of HR and Support Services signed the agreement. Mr. Al-Fahadi, maintained that the belief of the Board and the top management of the company in the importance of Saudization and its continuous support is reflected in adopting Saudization as a corporate strategy. He explained that further to Almarai’s experiences and successes in attracting, training, qualifying and developing national workforce, comes the signature of this agreement to launch Tomorrow’s Leaders. This program aims to attract excellent university graduates from Saudi Arabia and abroad, who aspire to join Almarai staff, and add value to Saudization of food industry. These young men are trained, to the highest standards, to lead the company’s sectors and departments on the intermediate and long run. Al-Fahadi emphasized that Almarai’s selection of “Talent Enterprise” among numerous international consultancies is due to the capabilities and expertise of the firm in training and qualifying leaders. He called upon Saudi youth who see themselves able and efficient to join the program after meeting the enrollment conditions.
On his part, Dr. Mohammad Al-Asmari, the Supervisor general on the Program said that selection of applicants to the Tomorrow’s Leaders Program is dependent on several adjusted conditions, tests and interviews that will be posted on the program page on the Company’s portal. Al-Asmari added that whoever meets the conditions and passes the tests and interviews will be recruited and enrolled in 2-year scientific intensive program of qualifying and training including practical training, submittal of individual and group projects, to develop Almarai’s business in all fields. It is worth mentioning that the Program and the trainees will be evaluated quarterly to guarantee the program and trainees’ success, and achievement of the intended goals
Ali Thabet Al-Qahtani, Almarai’s Saudization Manager, said the Tomorrow’s Leaders Program in important initiative and investment by Almarai, in order to Saudize food industry. The initiatives include establishment of specialized training and qualifying centers to Food and Dairy Polytechnic “FDP” in Al-Kharj, Almarai Academy, Almarai center for teaching heavy truck driving, launching Almarai Club in some universities, and cooperation with external specialized training centers, These endeavors aim at building specific career paths according to individual training plans to support staff development opportunities and instilling in them the skills that help upgrade them. Almarai also acts upon creating attractive work environment through periodic review of systems, policies and procedures, payroll system and benefits, statistics of training, developing, promoting, and securing Saudi staff stability.
These efforts and initiatives yielded many male and female Saudi youth being employed in Almarai of oe of its affiliate companies through Saudi Arabia. Currently, more than 8200 male and female Saudi staff work in the company. That is why Almarai won several local and regional prizes in appreciation of its efforts in Saudization of food industry.
