Almarai: the most positively perceived brand by customers
For the second year in a row, Almarai Company came first according to the 2016 Mid-Year BestBrand Rankings, by the market research company YouGov. Almarai has created the highest brand Buzz scores of over 300 brands in Saudi Arabia throughout 2016 so far, and WhatsApp and Samsung, in the second and third rankings respectively.
This year has brought a tremendous social media presence for the “Quality you can trust” brand whose film on breastfeeding campaign became the second most shared film in the world within one week of launching.
Subsequently Almarai also became the third most popular FMCG brand on Facebook.
The BestBrand ranking measures how people perceive the brand via daily asking them whether they heard something positive or negative about a brand in the past two weeks, through media, advertisement or word of mouth. Interviews are conducted online via the YouGov website.
The 6-month ranking is launched for best brands in 26 regional countries including Saudi Arabia, UAE and Egypt, using the Buzz score within the leading daily brand follow up score BrandIndex from YouGov.
