“Almarai” participates in Colors of Saudi Arabia Forum
“Almarai Company” participated in the Fifth Colors of Saudi Arabia Forum, which was held in Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center “RICEC” last week.
Almarai’s participation was with a number of photographs, which contested in the shortlist in the annual “Moments” photography competition organized by Almarai Company and National geographic Abu Dhabi TV Channel.
The winner of first position was the Moroccan photographer Mohamed Benmokhtar. The second position went to the Omani photographer Mohammad Al-Bedaaie. The third position was awarded to the Egyptian photographer Mohammad Najib Nasr.
The winning photograph depicted the air of family life in Zagora, southern Morocco. The runner up photo carried an atmospheric image of Omani popular food heritage in Dhafar Governorate. The third place portrayed a rural peasant woman processing corncobs in Egypt’s Nile Delta. .
Abdullah Al-Otaibi, PR Manager in Almarai said that that this year’s competition is titled “Cuisine in Arab Countries” with 22,00o contestants from various Arab countries. He noted that Almarai is co-holding this annual contest to support Arab talents.
Al-Otaibi added that Almarai is always keen to sponsor talented Arabs by adopting annual programs that accentuate excellence and potential of Arab youth.
He stated that Almarai and National geographic Abu Dhabi are launching this completion annually. Both announce commencement of the competition on Almarai’s website, National geographic Abu Dhabi TV Channel, and local newspapers. He maintained that the company is sponsoring the contest for the fourth year in a row.
