Almarai wins ”Happiest Company” Award in MENA

Almarai Company won “Culture of Happiness” and “Best Learning Culture” awards in the Middle East and North Africa “MENA” based on LinkedIn professional network that has more than 500 million memberships in more than 250 countries and regions around the world.

Almarai was awarded these two awards in a big party recently held on this occasion by LinkedIn in Dubai, which was attended by a galaxy of financiers, businesspersons, and media people in the Arab region.

Ohoud bint Khalfan Al-Roumi, the UAE State Minister for Happiness and Wellbeing, patron of the party, gave the “Culture of Happiness” award to Hossam Al-Youssef, Almarai’s Deputy CEO, HR and Support Services, in appreciation of Almarai’s enabling of a working environment that promotes staff happiness and positiveness.

Mohamed Al-Yahiya, Almarai’s General Manager of Training and Development, received “Best Learning Culture” award from Ian McCleon, Learning Solutions Manager, and LinkedIn.

On this occasion, Hossam Al-Youssef said that Almarai’s winning of these two magnificent awards stresses the excellence of the professional environment provided by Almarai to its staff in all its business units, and indicates the success of its current programs and plans in on-the-job developing and training of its staff. Al-Youssef added that he is proud of all Almarai colleagues whose effective performance and professional behavior played a crucial role in winning these two awards.

On his part, Ali Matar, Talent Solutions Manager EMEA, LinkedIn, said that these two awards are an ovation of the efforts, initiatives and strategies launched by Almarai to solicit and retain talents.

It is noteworthy that Almarai is one of the largest workplaces in the Middle East with more than 45,000 staff working in its various sectors. Almarai is also the largest producer and distributer of foodstuff in the Middle East.
