Almarai Honors Disabled Children’s Mothers in Mecca
In accordance with the International Disability Day, Almarai honored the 2019 winner mothers in Almarai’s Award for the Ideal Mother of disabled children in Mecca. The ceremony was attended by Dr. Naglaa Redha, Board Member in the Disabled Children Association, Sulaf Hijazi, Center Manager of Disabled Children Association in Makkah Al-Mukarramah, and a large number of disabled children’s mothers in Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
“To create sustainable development in our society, Almarai has been committed to reward distinguished people, and to provide opportunities as well as hope for those who are in need.” Abdullah Al-Otaibi, Corporate Communications and Public Relations Manager at Almarai said. “Almarai’s award for the Ideal Mother will be transferred annually to support the families of disabled children in all centers of the Disabled Children Association around the Kingdom. Nevertheless, 10 mothers won the award this year for achieving the maximum benefit for their disabled children from rehabilitation services in the association’s centers,” Al-Otaibi added.
“Almarai Award for the Ideal Mother came to encourage families to positively interact with the Association’s programs since those families are a major partner for the rehabilitation of disabled children, and a bridge towards overcoming the difficulties their children face,” Sulaf Hijazi, Center Manager of Disabled Children Association in Makkah Al-Mukarramah said.
In 2017, the company launched the first award of its kind in Saudi Arabia, Almarai Award for the Ideal Mother of Disabled Children. In 2018, Almarai honored 5 disabled children’s mothers in Riyadh during the award’s first session.
