Almarai and National Geographic Abu Dhabi Launch the 10th Edition of “Moments 2020” Competition
Almarai and National Geographic Abu Dhabi launched the 10th edition of the Moments photography competition. The competition aims to support and sponsor the talents of Arab photographers by encouraging them to express their abilities through an artistic platform.
As one of the most popular competitions in the Arab world, Moments allows participants to compete by capturing an inspiring picture that is related to a specific topic and a suitable moment within a slogan determined by the competition committee annually.
With a title of “Moments 2020”, the competition documents an exceptional period in the history along with various challenges the world witnessed, including restrictions and isolation, which resulted in inspiring moments and stories for photographers to tell through their lenses and their own perspectives.
“Through its initiative of “Almarai Supports Arab Talents,” the company has always sponsored and encouraged Arab talents in the field of photography. For 10 years, amateur photographers have documented, through Moments competition, more than 250,000 artistic photographs that embodied the cultures of Arab nations with their vibrant and diverse civilization,” Abdullah Al-Otaibi, Almarai’s Head of Corporate Communications and Public Relations said.
“We are pleased to shape a platform that highlights Arab talents in the field of photography and encourages them to celebrate the various aspects of our Arab culture” Al-Otaibi added.
