Honoring Almarai Scientific Innovation Award 19th Edition Winners

Almarai and King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology held a ceremony to honor the 19th edition winners of Almarai Scientific Innovation Award at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Thuwal. The event comes under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mishaal bin Majid bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jeddah.

Dr. Muhammad Al-Daoudi and Dr. Othman Muhammad Bakr from King Abdullah University for Science and Technology were equally won the Distinguished Scientist Award. While Dr. Abdulrahman bin Muhammad Al-Huzimi from King Saud University won the Creative ٍScientific Work Award.

The Creative Scientific Work Award for doctoral students was equally awarded to Eman Bodleoah, from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology, and Muhammad Yunus Dita from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. In contrast, Abdullah Yusuf Al Salloum from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology won the Creative Scientific Work Award for Master’s degree students. The Creative Scientific Work Award for undergraduate students has been withheld due to the inefficiency of the submissions.

Research Unit Award was awarded to the Center for Research Excellence in Renewable Energy from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.

The award aims to support and encourage scientists, researchers, and inventors in the Kingdom. The National Commission has accredited the award for Academic Accreditation in the Higher Education Council, leading to the entitlement of scientific excellence rewards for Saudi faculty members and those of similar status in Saudi universities.

The award was sponsored by Almarai and supervised by the city 20 years ago. During that time, 153 researchers and research centers have been selected based on their eligibility and merit through specialized jury committees and precise international standards.
