Almarai Ranked the 1st Saudi Company in ESG Invest for 2019
Almarai ranked first among Saudi companies in ESG Invest for the year of 2019. This classification was prepared by ESG Invest that works on Rating companies’ performance on the Tadawul Index, which includes 181 Saudi companies, to measure the company’s ability to withstand in the face of long-term environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risks.
The ESG ranking is based on data on environmental and social sustainability standards and governance. It includes 9 dimensions of sustainability and 43 issues of ecological and social and governmental sustainability standards with more than 180 data points for companies in the Arab world and an analysis of the level of integration of environmental, social, and governmental sustainability standards in the basic business activities of the company.

It is worth noting that Almarai received the “Highest Performance” award in the innovation of solutions for social development standards within the criteria of King Khalid Sustainability Award 2019. The company also received the Kotler Award for Community Awareness in 2017.
