Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - 19 May 2026: Almarai has signed a cooperation agreement with the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association to provide 40,000 in kind food products in support of the association’s volunteers during the 2026 Hajj season. The agreement was finalized at Almarai’s headquarters in Riyadh on 14 May, and distribution to volunteers across the holy sites began on 18 May.
This collaboration comes as part of national efforts to serve the pilgrims of the Sacred House and strengthen the efficiency of field operations throughout the Hajj season. Scouts play a vital role on the ground, guiding pilgrims, managing crowds, and delivering essential volunteer services across the holy sites. The initiative builds on the partnership formed during last year’s Hajj season, deepening the shared commitment between Almarai and the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association to uplift national and volunteer driven efforts. It also reflects Almarai’s broader dedication to community service and its belief in the value of public private collaboration in supporting those who serve pilgrims during this sacred season.
On this occasion, Almarai’s Head of Corporate Communications, Abdulrahman Al-Afalig, said: “Supporting volunteers during the Hajj season is a fundamental part of our responsibility to the community and the nation. Through our partnership with the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association, Almarai continues to empower volunteers and strengthen their readiness to serve the guests. This commitment aligns with the ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030, which calls for a greater role for the private sector in advancing volunteerism and social responsibility.”
For his part, the Secretary General of the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association, Dr. Mohammed bin Hussein, said: “Almarai’s continued support significantly strengthens our members’ ability to carry out their volunteer duties with professionalism and efficiency throughout the Hajj season. This partnership reflects the strong spirit of cooperation between the public and private sectors in serving the guests and ensuring that field operations are delivered with the highest levels of organization and care.”
