The Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng. Mansour Bin Hilal Al-Mushaiti, visited Almarai’s pavilion in the Middle East Poultry Exhibition, held under the theme “Contribution to Enhancing Food Security” at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, from 14-16 March 2022 with the participation of 150 companies from 30 countries.
Faisal bin Marzouq Alfahadi, the Executive Vice President of Almarai, welcomed the deputy minister of environment, water, and Agriculture during his visit to the pavilion.
“Almarai’s participation came from its role as one of the substantial companies supporting food security in the Kingdom. Almarai’s poultry products continue to lead the market in Saudi Arabia by moving in rapid growth and sustaining food security and local content in Saudi Arabia. Almarai pumped more investments in the poultry sector intending to develop production facilities and raise production capacity to serve various regions in the Kingdom.” Abdullah Al-Otaibi, Head of Corporate Communications and Public Relations in Almarai.
It is worth mentioning that Almarai announced the new investments worth 6600 million riyals last year to double its production operations in the poultry sector. The investments will be achieved through three phases until 2026. It will focus on increasing the company’s share of chilled chicken, which today represents 96% of its total production, and expanding its production and share of frozen poultry.
It is worth mentioning, as well, that Almarai is the largest vertically integrated dairy company globally and the largest food and beverage production and distribution in the Middle East. It owns many brands, including Almarai, ALYOUM, L’usine, and 7Days, leading its products in GCC markets.
