Almarai Company has signed a cooperation agreement with the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development aimed at supporting and empowering volunteers participating in the 1446 AH Hajj season. The agreement stipulates the provision of health-approved meals for 5,000 volunteers serving the pilgrims, as part of Almarai’s commitment to its social responsibility and its national role in serving the Guests of Allah.
The agreement was signed during the International Exhibition for the Non-Profit Sector, in the presence of His Excellency Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development. This initiative aligns with Almarai’s efforts to support volunteer work in the Kingdom by offering high-quality meals, and its contribution to strengthening strategic collaboration between the private sector and national entities to support volunteerism and empower human capabilities, thereby contributing to the development and growth of the non-profit sector as a strategic pillar in achieving the sustainable development and social goals of Vision 2030.
Mr. Faisal bin Marzouq Al-Fahadi, Executive Vice President of Corporate Communication and Institutional Affairs at Almarai, stated:
“This partnership with the National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development aims to enhance volunteer work by providing nutritional and logistical support to volunteers, and by fostering a motivating environment that helps raise the quality of services provided to pilgrims. This is in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals of empowering the non-profit sector and increasing the number of volunteers.”
Under the agreement, Almarai will provide food that meets both local and international food safety standards at designated locations in the holy sites, reaffirming its commitment to sustainability and the empowerment of non-profit organizations in accordance with global best practices.
The National Center for Non-Profit Sector Development expressed its appreciation for Almarai’s initiative, highlighting the importance of collaboration between the private and non-profit sectors in supporting national initiatives—particularly during the Hajj season, which is one of the largest human gatherings in the world and requires significant organizational and service efforts.
This agreement aligns with Almarai’s corporate social responsibility strategy, which aims to support the communities it serves through impactful programs and initiatives. These efforts are a core component of Almarai’s activities, through which it seeks to contribute to improving the quality of life for both citizens and residents. As a leading strategic partner in the food and beverage sector, Almarai works closely with volunteer and charitable organizations to launch innovative initiatives that serve various segments of society.
