Almarai Company participated in the International Conference on Veterinary Medicine and the accompanying exhibition as a strategic sponsor of the conference organized by the Saudi Veterinary Medical Association at King Faisal University in Al-Ahsa during the period 11-13 October 2022, entitled “Veterinary Medicine Prospects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia - Challenges and Opportunities,” under the patronage of HRH Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr Al Saud, Governor of Al-Ahsa.
The conference’s organizing committee honored Almarai Company for its contribution to the success of this international event, which aims to advance the livestock sector and the veterinary profession, to achieve food security and environmental sustainability.
“The company’s sponsorship of the International Conference on Veterinary Medicine comes within the corporate social responsibility program for Almarai, and it is an affirmation of the importance of veterinary medicine in the Kingdom for its pivotal role in promoting and developing livestock and its importance on the environment and food future in the Kingdom.” Abdullah Al-Otaibi, Head of Corporate Communication and Public Relations at Almarai Company, said.
On the other hand, Dr. Rafael Lagoons Garcia, President of the World Veterinary Association, praised Almarai during his visit to its facilities in Al-Kharj and its application of the highest international standards for animal health and care, adding that factories and production lines also apply the highest quality standards in dairy production.
It is worth noting that Almarai sponsors and organizes its prize for veterinary medicine annually in the countries of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council, which it launched in 2010 intending to emphasize the active role of veterinary medicine in protecting the public health of livestock in the Kingdom and showing the bright face of the veterinary profession and its support.
