Almarai has won the Corporate Governance Excellence Award for the second consecutive year, ranking among the top non-financial companies listed on the Saudi Exchange (Tadawul), based on the results of the Corporate Governance Index issued by the Corporate Governance Center at Alfaisal University.
This recognition reaffirms the company’s belief in governance as key pillar for maintaining and strengthening investors’ trust and sustainability of operations on the long-term. In addition, it is an indication of the Almarai’s high standards in oversight, compliance, risk management, and disclosure, and reflects its commitment to continuous development and adoption of best global practices.
The Corporate Governance Index evaluates the compliance of listed companies with local and international governance best practices, including board effectiveness, protection of shareholders’ rights, disclosure and transparency, and the enhancement of stakeholders’ rights. According to its methodology, the Index is based on an assessment model comprising approximately 300 variables and is aligned with the frameworks of the Capital Market Authority (CMA), the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), and the principles of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), enabling benchmarking and continuous improvement.
Almarai is the world’s largest vertically integrated dairy company and the largest food and beverage producer and distributor in the Middle East, and this award comes as a continuation of a long history of recognitions and awards like the recent CSR Award 2025 to the second consecutive year and MODON award for industrial Excellence and others.
