Forbes Middle East has recognized Mr. Abdullah Nasser Al Bader, Chief Executive Officer of Almarai, among its “Sustainability Leaders 2025” a list honoring executive leaders driving the sustainability agenda across the region.
The recognition coincided with the “Forbes Sustainability Leaders Summit,” held on October 14–15, 2025, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) – Marina Hall 2. Mr. Amir Jafar, Regional HR Director at Almarai, received the award on behalf of Mr. Al Bader.
Mr. Al Bader’s inclusion in the list reflects Almarai’s leadership and unwavering commitment to implementing best practices in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles across its value chains. It also underscores the company’s dedication to responsible growth through initiatives focused on clean energy, resource efficiency, emissions reduction, and investments in sustainable innovation and eco-friendly supply chains — all in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030’s goals of building a diversified and sustainable economy.

Almarai places great emphasis on reducing its environmental footprint by improving water and energy efficiency and implementing solutions that enhance environmental performance across its value chain. The company continues to expand renewable energy projects, such as waste-to-energy initiatives, and supports circular solutions and recycling across materials and operational outputs. It also applies stringent international standards in quality management and food safety, including FSSC 22000 and ISO 22000 certifications.
Notably, Almarai has made significant progress in its sustainability indicators, achieving 11 of its 2025 sustainability targets ahead of schedule. The company has also improved resource efficiency, with treated or reused water accounting for approximately 22% of total withdrawals in 2024. In addition, Almarai’s rigorous quality assurance system continues to perform more than 39,000 quality tests daily reinforcing consumer trust and affirming the company’s commitment to responsible and sustainable operations.
