Almarai participates in the activities of the International Day of Accreditation Forum

Almarai Company participated in the activities of the "International Accreditation Day Forum" organized by the Saudi Accreditation Center under the slogan "Accreditation and Promoting the Future of International Trade", in the presence of His Excellency the Governor of the Saudi Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality, Dr. Saad bin Othman Al-Qasabi and a number of officials, experts, and those interested in the fields of accreditation and quality, with the active participation of government and private agencies.

During the second session of the forum, which was titled "The Role of Quality in Supporting Global Supply Chains", Head of Regulatory Affairs Abdullah M. Alshemisi, presented Almarai's experience in the quality cycle in supporting global supply chains, in addition to the quality assurance processes and methods that the company is working on. Through the product production chain from suppliers of raw materials to the production of the final product.

He confirmed that quality tests have a fundamental role in all supply operations at Almarai Company, in light of the conduct of more than 39,000 quality tests daily, in addition to the presence of an integrated system to support supply chains and logistical support in Almarai, which is based on accumulated experience, and more than 9,000 refrigerated trucks to ensure the highest standards food safety and quality.

It is worth noting that Almarai is the largest vertically integrated dairy company in the world, and the largest for the production and distribution of food and beverages in the Middle East, and all Almarai operations have obtained the Food Safety System Certification (FSSC) 22000, which is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative. (GFSI). Almarai facilities have also obtained several other accreditations including the ISO 9001 Quality Management System to ensure that Almarai’s quality and food safety performance remains strong.
