Almarai has been recognized at the NIQ BASES Breakthrough Innovation Awards, reflecting the company’s leadership in developing high-quality products grounded in deep consumer insight. The recognition covers two launches, Salted Caramel Flavored Milk and Butter Puff Pastries, strengthening Almarai’s position as a leading brand in the dairy and bakery categories.
The NIQ BASES Breakthrough Innovation Awards evaluate innovations using rigorous criteria that include market performance, degree of innovation, consumer experience, and a product’s ability to redefine its category, with a clear emphasis on sustained performance after launch. The evaluation spans more than 30 global markets and assesses thousands of products each year. Since its inception, the awards have recognized about 1,300 innovations worldwide over more than 14 years, reflecting the selectivity of its standards and the significance of this international honor.

The achievement highlights the strength of Almarai’s innovation capabilities across the value chain, from ingredient selection and manufacturing to packaging and organized distribution, ensuring the final product reaches consumers with reliable quality. The company maintains an active innovation pipeline, conducting around 630 experimental product tests annually and keeping about 65 products under development at any given time, which enables faster responses to changing shopper preferences and more informed new-product launch decisions.
The two winning products reflect a consumer-led design philosophy. Salted Caramel Flavored Milk offers a balanced sweet-and-salty profile within the flavored milk segment, while Butter Puff Pastries elevate ready-to-eat bakery standards with consistent taste, texture, and convenience. Almarai continues to invest in research and development and expand industry partnerships to accelerate innovation and bring products to market that enrich the consumer experience.
These honors add to Almarai’s 2025 achievements. The company was recognized for the second consecutive year with the Corporate Social Responsibility Award organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. In Kantar BrandZ 2025, Almarai was named the most valuable brand in Saudi Arabia and the most consistent in customer experience. Brand Finance’s Food & Drink 2025 report ranked Almarai the fourth most valuable dairy brand worldwide.
