Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Mahad bin Said Baawain , Minister of Labor, Almarai proudly participated as the main sponsor of the Labor Forum 2025, held in Salalah, Sultanate of Oman. Organized by the Ministry of Labor in collaboration with the International Labour Organization, the forum took place from 3-12 August 2025, at the Millennium Resort Salalah. Almarai’s participation at the event underscores its ongoing commitment to advancing human capital development and fostering sustainable labor policies across the region.
During the forum’s opening ceremony, the Minister of Labor recognized Almarai for its strategic sponsorship and impactful contributions. As a key player in the Omani market since 1988, the company has been a consistent advocate for empowering national talent and implementing world-class HR practices. Additionally, it has created job opportunities for over 700 Omani nationals and continues to invest in upskilling programs to prepare the workforce for the future.
Commenting on the participation, Mr. Ayman Algeer, Chief Human Resources Officer at Almarai, said: "Our participation in this forum reflects our firm belief that human capital development is a shared responsibility, one that demands close cooperation between the public and private sectors. On the sidelines of the forum, Mr. Algeer and the Almarai delegation met with H.E. Dr. Mahad bin Said Baawain, the Minister of Labor, to discuss the company’s ongoing efforts in the Omani market and explore new opportunities for collaboration in human capital development.
Throughout the event, key topics such as artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and workforce nationalization were explored across 12 panel discussions featuring over 100 experts from 10 countries, alongside representatives from international organizations. Almarai’s active participation reflects its dedication to knowledge exchange and expanding institutional partnerships that contribute to labor market advancement and sustainable regional growth.
It is worth noting that Almarai continues to invest in human capital development as part of its five-year investment strategy (2024–2028), with total investments exceeding SAR 18 billion. The company currently serves over 120 million consumers through a logistics and distribution network considered the largest in the Middle East, comprising over 10,000 refrigerated trucks.
