Almarai Strengthens Strategic Partnerships at Oman Labour Forum

In a move to strengthen strategic partnerships, Almarai Company is participating in the Oman Labour Forum, organized by the Omani Ministry of Labour, from August 11 to 27, 2024. The event, held under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Mahad bin Said bin Ali Baowain, Omani Minister of Labour, is attended by H.E. Qais bin Mohammed bin Moosa Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion; H.E. Eng. Said bin Hamood bin Said Al Mawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information, and H.E. Dr. Hilal bin Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health.
The forum discusses the enhancement of partnerships between government, private, and academic sectors to unify visions that contribute to achieving sustainable development goals and explores new opportunities to balance immediate labor market needs with future planning in line with Oman Vision 2040.
On the sidelines of the forum, Mr. Abdullah bin Nasser Al Badr, CEO of Almarai, will meet with Omani ministers to discuss the company's investments in the Sultanate and explore avenues to enhance them. Mr. Al Badr stated, "The Oman Labour Forum is a vital platform for engaging with experts and specialists in human resources development. It also serves as a catalyst for innovation, promoting sustainability, and fostering initiatives that help build a new generation, who are capable of adapting to change and leading transformation in the Kingdom and the region."

Since entering the Omani market in 1988, we have consistently created opportunities and currently employ over 700 Omani citizens. We continuously strive to strengthen strategic partnerships that contribute to achieving sustainable development goals, address market needs, and support our objectives to enhance food security both locally and regionally," he added.
Al Badr further explained that Almarai is committed to expanding its presence in the GCC and the broader Middle East within the food and beverage manufacturing and distribution sector. The company aims to deliver high-quality food products to over 120 million consumers while adhering to the highest food safety standards. This goal is supported by a logistics network – the largest in the Middle East – which includes more than 10,000 refrigerated trucks. Almarai's newly launched five-year strategy (2024-2028) involves investments exceeding 18 billion riyals, aimed at enhancing food security in the Kingdom and the region. He emphasized that developing human capital is a critical element for the successful implementation of this strategy, in line with the company’s motto, "Quality you can trust."
