Cheese Khaliyyit Nahel / Cheese Honeycomb bread

A delicious recipe featuring a soft dough and a creamy cheese filling that gives it a distinctive flavor.

Ingredients

2 cups warm water


1/2 cup oil


5 cups flour


2 tablespoon sugar


2 tablespoon instant yeast


2 tablespoon powdered milk


pinch salt


Almarai Shredded Mozzarella Full fat cheese for filling


nigella seeds for topping


1 egg for brushing the dough

Instructions
  1. Mix sugar, yeast, and warm water with half of the flour, and allow to rest, covered, for 15 minutes. Add the remaining flour and other dough ingredients.
     
  2. Knead for 5 minutes until you have a non-sticky, soft dough.
     
  3. Divide the dough into small balls.
     
  4. Flatten each ball and fill with 1 tbsp of shredded cheese, then roll and place in a greased pan.
     
  5. Once all the dough is rolled, brush the surface with a beaten egg.
     
  6. Bake in the oven at 180°C for about 30 minutes, or until done.
