Chicken Motabak made with Almarai's ALYOUM Fresh Chicken and Served with the Cream Cheese Dip

Chicken Motabak Recipe

Surprise your family and friend with a delicious Chicken motabak made with ALYOUM fresh chicken and served with the cream cheese dip aside.

Ingredients

300g ALYOUM Chicken

 

 

25g Almarai Ghee

 

 

10ml Almarai Olive Oil



300g Almarai Cream Cheese

 

 

300g Flour



5g Salt



30ml Vegetable Oil 
 


150ml Water



165g Shallots



3g Black Pepper
 


5g Cumin
 


1 Egg
 


5g Green Chili
 


200g Diced tomato
 


20g Spring onions
 


15g Minced garlic
 


20g Minced coriander

Instructions

First prepare the dough:
 

  1.  Put an amount of flour in a bowl, then make a hole in the middle, then sprinkle with salt, a tablespoon of vegetable oil and warm water.
     
  2.  We start mixing the ingredients well until they are homogeneous with each other to get a soft dough.
     
  3.  Then we divide the dough into equal-sized balls, then put them in a bowl, and cover them with oil.
     
  4.  And do not forget to cover the bowl and leave it for an hour to ferment. 

    Second, the filling:
     
  5.  Heat the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat, then add the onions, garlic and green peppers, and leave the ingredients until they wilt.
     
  6.  Then add the chicken slices, then flavor the mixture with salt, black pepper, cinnamon, and hot red pepper.
     
  7.  Leave the mixture on the fire until the chicken is completely cooked and browned. 
     
  8.  Remove the pan from the heat, put the mixture in a bowl and set it aside to cool to room temperature.
     
  9.  Roll out the dough on a hard surface greased with oil, make a rectangle and place about two tablespoons of the filling on a square section of the dough.
     
  10.  Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan on the stove and fry the Motabak until golden on both sides. 

    Third, cooking the chicken Motabak:
     
  11.  Roll out the patty balls, grease them with a little ghee, and put two tablespoons of the chicken and spinach filling.
     
  12.  Apply on both sides of the dough until it is coated and becomes a final square shape.
     
  13.  Grease the application with ghee and filter it in the oven tray.
     
  14.  Bake it in the oven at a temperature of 200 degrees Celsius for a third of an hour, until browned from the top and bottom.
