Chocolate Date Pistachio Kunafa Truffles

A delicious and nutritious treat that combines the rich flavors of dates and dark chocolate, with a touch of pistachio and crispy kunafa

Ingredients

cup Almira pressed sukkari dates


100g dark chocolate, melted


½ tsp cinnamon


½ cup crushed pistachios


1 cup pistachio paste


½ cup kunafa dough, shredded

Instructions
  1. In a bowl, mix the mashed dates, melted chocolate, and cinnamon until smooth.
     
  2. Chill in the fridge for 15 minutes to firm up.
     
  3. Toast the kunafa dough in a pan until golden and crispy, then mix with the pistachio paste.
     
  4. Take small portions of the date mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls.
     
  5. Roll each truffle in the toasted kunafa mixture, pressing gently to make it stick, then roll in the crushed pistachios.
     
  6. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes before serving.
