Chocolate Lava Cake

The perfect dessert for chocolate lovers, with a warm, gooey center and a soft texture that melts in your mouth

Ingredients

½ cup Almarai Unsalted Butter (plus extra for greasing)


150g dark chocolate (chopped)


2 eggs


2 egg yolks


¼ cup sugar


¼ tsp salt


2 tbsp all-purpose flour


½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
  1. Grease 4 ramekins with Almarai Unsalted Butter, then dust with cocoa powder.
     
  2. In a heatproof bowl, melt Almarai Unsalted Butter and dark chocolate together using a double boiler.
     
  3. In another bowl, whisk eggs, egg yolks, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.
     
  4. Gently fold in the melted chocolate mixture.
     
  5. Sift in the flour and fold until just combined.
     
  6. Divide the batter evenly into the 4 prepared ramekins.
     
  7. Bake at 200°C (400°F) for 10–12 minutes (edges should be set, but the center should remain soft).
     
  8. Let the cakes sit for 1 minute, then carefully run a knife around the edges and invert onto a plate.
