Croque Monsieur is a famous French sandwich that combines toasted bread, cheese, and ham, with a delicious layer of béchamel sauce.

Ingredients

l’usine 4 Sliced White Bread


4 Almarai Cheese Slices Sandwich


4 turkey slices


4 tablespoon shredded cheese


2 teaspoon grainy mustard


1 teaspoon butter


1 tablespoon flour


1 cup Almarai Fresh Milk Full Fat


1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

To prepare bechamel sauce, in a small saucepan:

 

  1. Melt butter, add flour and cook for 1 minute
     
  2. Slowly while whisking add in milk
     
  3. Mix in mustard and salt and cook until thickened.
     
  4. Place 2 bread slices on an oven tray, spread with bechamel sauce, top with turkey and a cheese slice.
     
  5. Close each sandwich with another bread slice.
     
  6. Spread top with another layer of bechamel sauce and shredded cheese
     
  7. Bake at 200C for 10 minutes or until cheese melts and turn golden.
