Kunafah Recipe

Kunafah is a traditional and delicious dessert considered a perfect choice to enjoy during Ramadan. It is known for its excellent taste, crispy texture, and rich, creamy flavor.

Ingredients

For the Cream:
2 cups milk 


1/2 cup sugar


3 tablespoons cornstarch


2 tablespoons butter (Almarai product)


1 teaspoon vanilla extract


For the Kunafa:
2 cups shredded Kunafa dough


1 cup melted butter (Almarai product)


For Garnish:
Chopped pistachios

Instructions

For the Cream:
 

  1.  In a bowl, mix milk with sugar and cornstarch until well combined. Place the mixture on the heat, stirring constantly until it boils and thickens.
     
  2.  Add butter and vanilla and continue stirring until you get a smooth cream. Allow it to cool.
     
  3.  Mix the Kunafa dough with melted butter until the dough absorbs the butter well.
     
  4.  Place half of the Kunafa mixture in a greased baking tray. Press the Kunafa gently to create an even base. Pour the cream over the Kunafa. Place the remaining half of the Kunafa over the cream.
     
  5.  Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius until the Kunafa turns golden brown.
     
  6.  While the Kunafa is hot, sprinkle it with chopped pistachios and the syrup. Cut the Kunafa into squares and serve it hot. Enjoy the delicious taste of Cream-filled Kunafa!
