Nammoura Bel Laban

This recipe is a delicious oriental dessert that combines the soft texture of semolina with Laban, featuring a tender consistency and a sweet taste.

Ingredients

2 cups semolina


1 cup flour


1 tablespoon melted butter


1 cup sugar


1 cup warm water


1/2 cup Almarai Fresh Laban Full Fat


1 teaspoon rose water and


1 teaspoon  orange blossom water


1 teaspoon  baking soda


2 cups sugar syrup

Instructions
  1. In a bowl, mix the semolina, flour, melted butter, sugar, and water. Then add the yogurt, along with a teaspoon of rose water and orange blossom water. Add the baking soda and mix until the ingredients are well combined.
     
  2. Pour the mixture into a baking tray greased with tahini and let it rest for an hour.
     
  3. Cut it into small squares and place an almond in the center of each square.
     
  4. Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes or until it turns golden brown.
     
  5. Remove from the oven and immediately pour hot sugar syrup over it.
