Smoked Salmon and Avocado Sushi Rolls

Ingredients

Seama Smoked Norwegian Salmon slices


2 cups sushi rice


2 ½  cups water


¼  cup rice vinegar


2 tablespoons sugar


1 teaspoon salt


1 ripe avocado, sliced


Nori sheets


Soy sauce, for serving


Pickled ginger, for serving


Wasabi, for serving

Instructions
  1. Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
     
  2. Combine the rice and water in a pot and cook.
     
  3. In a small saucepan, heat the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved. Let it cool.
     
  4. Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a large bowl and gently fold in the vinegar mixture. Allow the rice to cool to room temperature.
     
  5. Place a nori sheet on a bamboo sushi mat. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the top.
     
  6. Arrange slices of Seama Smoked Norwegian Salmon and avocado along the center of the rice.
     
  7. Using the bamboo mat, roll the sushi tightly away from you, sealing the edge with a bit of water.
     
  8. Slice the roll into 6-8 pieces using a sharp knife.
     
  9. Serve with soy sauce, pickled ginger, and wasabi.
