Spinach and Feta Pastry Braids

Enjoy a delicious and flavorful treat with spinach and feta braids, combining the perfect balance of flaky pastry and a rich spinach and cheese filling

Ingredients

1 puff pastry sheet


1 egg (for brushing)


2 cups fresh spinach, chopped


1 tbsp Almarai Butter


1 garlic clove, minced


½ tsp black pepper


½ cup Almarai Feta Cheese, crumbled


½ cup Almarai Mozzarella Cheese, shredded

Instructions
  1. Heat Almarai butter in a pan, then add the minced garlic and sauté until it softens completely.
     
  2. Add the chopped spinach and black pepper. Cook until wilted, then set aside to cool.
     
  3. Once cooled, mix in the Almarai Feta and Almarai Mozzarella cheeses.
     
  4. Place the filling in the center of the puff pastry, leaving space on the sides.
     
  5. Cut diagonal strips along both sides of the filling. Fold them over alternately to form a braid.
     
  6. Transfer the braid to a baking sheet, then brush with the egg wash and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
     
  7. Bake at 180°C for 20–25 minutes, or until golden brown.
