Yoghurt Cake

This recipe combines simple and delicious ingredients to make a tasty cake, starting from yogurt and flour to the orange sauce that adds a distinctive flavor.

Ingredients

1 cup Almarai Fresh Yogurt 

2 cups flour


1/2 cup sugar


1/2 cup oil


2 eggs


2 teaspoon baking powder


1/2 teaspoon Vanilla extract


1 pinch salt

 

Sauce ingredients:


3 tablespoon Almarai Fresh Orange Juice


1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 180C° and place the rack in the center.
     
  2. Grease a baking pan with tahini and set aside to prepare cake batter.
     
  3. Prepare the sauce by mixing Almarai orange juice and powdered sugar and set aside.
     
  4. In a large bowl, mix eggs and sugar, then add oil, lemon zest, vanilla and mix again. Add yogurt and mix it into a smooth consistency.
     
  5. Add flour, baking powder and a pinch of salt together, mix batter until just combined. 
     
  6. Scrape the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. 
     
  7. Bake for 40 minutes or until fully cooked.
     
  8. Once the cake is done, remove it from the oven to cool, then top it with the sauce.
