Almarai has signed a training agreement with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development as part of the national “Waad” training program, aimed at providing training opportunities for young men and women in the Hail region over the next three years. The agreement was signed during a ceremony held in Hail under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of the Hail Region, and attended by officials from the Ministry, government entities, and private-sector partners.
This agreement builds on Almarai’s broader commitment to provide training opportunities for company employees across various regions of the Kingdom, as part of the national “Waad” training campaign launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development for 2023–2025. Almarai will roll out specialized training programs across key regions, focusing on enhancing professional and practical skills. The initiative targets young men and women, preparing them for careers in sectors aligned with the company’s regional operations, reflecting Almarai’s role as a strategic partner in supporting human-capital development.
Mr. Ayman Al-Qeer, Chief Human Resources Officer at Almarai, said: “This agreement in Hail reflects Almarai’s continued drive to develop national talent across the Kingdom through high-impact training that builds skills and enhances the job readiness of Saudi youth. We are proud of our partnership with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development under the ‘Waad’ program. This agreement is an important step in strengthening our investment in human capital in a region that serves as a key hub for our production and logistics operations. It also opens new pathways for young Saudis to pursue professional growth and long-term career development.”
Under the agreement, Almarai will work with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development to design and deliver training programs for Saudi youth in the Hail region, focusing on sectors aligned with Almarai’s regional operational activities. These programs will be delivered through Almarai’s training systems in line with the national “Waad” training campaign, offering beneficiaries greater flexibility through in-person and digital training formats. Details regarding program tracks, registration mechanisms, and admission requirements will be announced in due course through Almarai’s and the Ministry’s official communication channels.
“Waad” is one of the Ministry’s flagship national initiatives, targeting approximately one million training opportunities by the end of 2025 in partnership with national companies and institutions. It includes “Regional Forums,” which support the geographic distribution of training opportunities across the Kingdom while linking training to productivity enhancement and the competitiveness of national talent, aligned with Saudi Vision 2030’s goals of developing human capital and strengthening its role in sustainable economic growth.
This agreement reflects Almarai’s continued commitment to human-capital development and Saudization. In recent years, the company has expanded its skills-development programs, increasing the average annual training hours per employee to more than 20 hours. During the 2024 Saudization Ceremony, Almarai signed several agreements to train and prepare Saudi youth for employment in the food and beverage sector. In 2025, Almarai deepened its efforts by partnering with several universities, including King Saud University, Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, and Hail University, to equip university students with the practical skills for the labor market.
Through these initiatives, Almarai continues to align its business operations with long-term investment in national talent and developing local communities, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
